ShowCase Privacy Notice

Engineering data-handling summary. Counsel review is pending; this page does not replace the account portal’s privacy and purchase disclosures.

This notice explains how ShowCase Legal handles Demo Mode, account, firm licensing, billing, entitlement, creator-referral, analytics, and feedback information. Creator referrals described below apply to supported release candidates, including iOS/iPadOS 1.1.2 build 23.

Local case work and optional services

Core cases, evidence, annotations, transcripts, timelines, and on-device AI work are stored on your device. Optional online or collaboration services have separate data flows; review the app’s guidance before enabling them. Availability and behavior vary by build and platform. Account and billing services are separate from local case content.

Accounts, firms, and purchases

Where supported, we process email, account identifiers including the Firebase user ID, verification status, authentication-provider identifiers and profile information supplied by you or your sign-in provider, MFA status, plan, billing provider, licensed-user capacity, firm roles, work-domain claims, DNS verification timestamps, invitations, and administrator audit events. Stripe, Apple, and Google process purchases and send transaction status, renewal, expiration, refund, or chargeback notices. A firm entitlement never automatically exposes firm-wide case content.

Creator referrals

If you open ShowCase through a supported creator referral link, the app records the creator code, campaign and click identifiers, limited source/content labels, and a randomly generated installation identifier. It sends these fields to Aris Party Partners, which stores an installation hash and referral records to validate referrals, measure conversions, prevent duplicate claims, and calculate creator commissions. Referral processing is separate from optional Firebase Analytics and can occur when Analytics is off.

A new subscription purchase can associate that referral with your ShowCase account and verified store transaction. Purchase, renewal, refund, and revocation records may be used to reconcile commissions. The app identifies the creator and potential commission before checkout; a referral does not change your store price. Restoring a purchase does not make a fresh referral claim.

Creator reporting includes product and campaign information, transaction and commission references, transaction type/status, timestamps, and commission amounts and terms. Records can include a store transaction reference. The reviewed implementation does not provide customer names, email addresses, ShowCase account IDs, payment credentials, or case content in creator reporting. Final review of deployed reporting and any downstream partner use is pending.

A saved referral is eligible for up to 60 days and is cleared when the app detects expiration. Its separate installation identifier persists in app preferences after referral expiration. Server purchase and commission records may remain for billing reconciliation, refunds, security, and financial recordkeeping; the referral window does not mean every related server record is deleted after 60 days.

Optional product analytics

In supported builds, optional product analytics are off by default. If you enable them, Firebase Analytics may process an app-instance identifier, app and device characteristics, approximate geography, session information, and allowlisted feature, purchase, and diagnostic events. We do not set a Firebase Analytics user ID or send case names, filenames, document text, transcript text, annotations, or AI prompts. You can turn analytics off and reset its local identifier from Privacy & Analytics in the app.

Feedback information

When you submit feedback, we receive the category, your description, the app platform and version supplied with the form, and an email address only if you choose to provide one. Do not paste case details or attach evidence. We use feedback to diagnose problems and prioritize product improvements. Feedback is retained as reasonably needed to respond, improve the product, address abuse, and meet applicable obligations. You can also email support@arisparty.org. Email feedback includes your email address and the message you choose to send. Where the app prepares the draft, it includes app version, build number, and platform. You review and send the message in your email app. The website also links to the existing Aris Party feedback form.

Distribution providers

Apple TestFlight, Google Play, GitHub, Microsoft, Apple notarization, and our hosting providers process technical and account information under their own privacy terms when they distribute, secure, or host the preview. We receive only the information those services make available to developers.

Your choices

Analytics remains optional. Email is optional on the feedback form. You can delete local cases in the app and remove remaining app data from device storage as appropriate. Uninstalling alone may leave local files. Supported builds provide Delete account in Subscription & Offline Access, with reauthentication. Account deletion removes account access and associated service links; financial, transaction, security, and commission records may remain where needed. Local case files and store subscription cancellation are handled separately. To request access or deletion, including feedback or referral information, contact michael.dabish@arisparty.org. See account deletion instructions for the in-app steps and an email request option.
